Freelancing while neurodiverse, with Kat Brown
Freelancing can be empowering, brilliant and intensely stressful, often all at the same time. In this intensive four-hour course, freelance journalist Kat Brown will take you through the following key points for surviving as a ND person:
How to balance your energy without constantly face-planting crispy M&Ms
Where to find work, and where to find support when it feels like the creative industries are going through the floor (again)
Keeping track of invoices, payments and tax, even though you would rather die
Working out what really motivates you *right now*, how not to feel guilty about it, and how to fund it
How to navigate Access to Work
Tools, apps and sites that actually help
Plus, Kat's most hideous financial and work mistakes, so you don't need to repeat them!
Ticket price includes lunch and refreshments. There is a half-price place available for a neurodivergent freelancer – these are designed for people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend; please only apply for a low-cost place if you need one. Please email hello@many-hats.org to enter the lottery for this place, which will be drawn one month before the workshop date.
