Why should I give you my money?

We wrote a whole page about this, too. In short, you will get expert-led professional development tailored to freelancers, a chance to meet other creative freelancers, and a delicious lunch.

What if I cannot attend an event?

If you cannot attend a booked workshop, you can request a refund or credit for another course with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you give less than 24 hours’ notice we will only offer a credit note, valid for a year. You can also pass your place or credit note on to another named freelancer; contact us for more information.

Do you offer discounted prices?

There are free/discounted places available on all workshops, thanks to our generous supporters. Free/low-cost places are sponsored by individual organisations, who set their own criteria. All applicants who meet the criteria can be entered into a lottery for the free/low-cost place(s). To enter the lottery for a free/low-cost place, please email hello@many-hats.org with your name, the workshop you’d like to attend, and confirmation that you meet the listed criteria. Names will be drawn three weeks before each workshop, and successful entrants will be notified by email. In some cases, we are also able to cover travel expenses, which will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

I have access requirements, how do I make sure they can be accommodated?

It is important to us that attenders can get as much out of these events as possible. If you have access needs please make these known when purchasing a ticket by emailing hello@many-hats.org. If you have more complex access needs which you think we may need advance warning to accommodate, please contact us in advance.

I’d like to pay it forward or sponsor a place. How do I go about that?

I can’t get to Birmingham. Will you run these sessions anywhere else?

Yes, we have plans to run these workshops in other places, and online. If there is a specific workshop you think we should bring to your city or online, please let us know.
